Four Petrichor Partners Awarded WSBO Grants

January 19, 2022 – The Washington State Broadband Office (WSBO) today announced award recipients for its Fall 2021 Infrastructure Acceleration Grants. Four of 13 recipients received application assistance from Petrichor Broadband. Congratulations to Lincoln County, Clallam County, Port of Whitman County and Adams County! Combined, their projects received more than $38 million in grant funding.

Read more about each awarded project below:

  • Lincoln County: Lincoln County received a $5.2 million grant from the Washington State Broadband Office to construct fiber to Reardan, Odessa, Sprague and the Hawk Creek area. The project has been estimated for completion by December 31, 2023.
  • Clallam County: Clallam County received a $20.27 million grant from the Washington State Broadband Office to build fiber along the Strait of Juan de Fuca Highway through the areas of Coville, Ramapo, Joyce and Disque, Washington. The project has been estimated for completion by December 31, 2023.
  • Port of Whitman County: The Port of Whitman County received a $1.06 million grant from the Washington State Broadband Office to construct a last-mile fiber network in two rural Whitman County towns: Steptoe and Diamond, Washington. The project has been estimated for completion December 1, 2023.
  • Adams County: Adams County received a $10.3 million grant from the Washington State Broadband Office to build fiber-to-the-home in the Town of Lind, Town of Washtuca, City of Ritzville and areas west and south of the City of Othello, Washington. The project has been estimated for completion by December 31, 2023.
